I Am An Overcomer
How do we classify ourselves as an overcomer? What have we conquered in our lives? Have we ever been overwhelmed with something? Are we our best at anything? Can we subdue the things that overwhelm us? We are often overpowered by the things in life that is dear to us; so how do we overcome the cares of life? What causes the defeat we face, how do we suppress sin? Are we able to quash the demons that rise up against us? Can we crush the pains and vanquish the sin in our lives.
We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the words of His testimony. Because Jesus overcame sin we too have been afforded the same opportunity. We must go in the Spirit and allow the Holy Ghost to have complete control. Jesus promised that we would be overcomers too as He is. He knows our works and open doors for us that we can’t. He lets us know that the strength we have obtained is from Him; it is God’s strength. As long as we keep his Word we will not be denied. He said that He would make our enemies our footstool. We are to be faithful and true witnesses. We are to be rich in the Word, Prayer, Intercession, and in the Spirit to become spiritually fit. The Christian have hope; we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. When we conforms our lives to the Word and walk in Christ we then allow the Spirit of God to come in and help us to stay delivered from sin and unrighteousness.
Romans 8:26-27 likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Because God knows the end of all things we can overcome. Let God do it, give it to Him. We can lose the load or burden we carry when we completely allow God’s Word and Spirit to work through us for us. We have been set free from the law through Christ; for if we love Him we will obey the laws of the land. We will keep God’s Law as well for this is how we overcome the world through Christ Jesus. We were children in bondage under the elements of the world; but when the fullness of the time were come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law to redeem us from under the law. We are to be dear children in Christ; heirs to the throne of God. We have been made free from the pains of death. Being born after the flesh of a bond woman we no longer have to be bound by sin. However to be that overcomer over the flesh we must accept the promise of Abraham and his God. God bless the just as well as the unjust but to them that obey there is more. God provide for man all things from the beginning before He put man in the Garden of Eden.
I am an overcomer because I have learned how to trust God and be content in whatever state I am in. No matter what is going on in life see God; never lose focus of Him and know that He is in control. We have been adopted into the Kingdom by the shedding of blood by Jesus finishing the work of going to the Cross. We too are debtors to do the whole law; keeping ourselves in a spirit of servitude. We as Saints are here to help assist in the service of the Lord and to do His bidding in the earth. Keep the unity of the faith, be honorable among men and mark those that cause divisions and offences contrary to the Doctrine which we have learned and avoid them. God don’t want us to give our hearts to simplicity; for our obedience will come before God.
Jesus Christ has the power to establish us according to the gospel and revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began if we endure the tribulations, sufferings, and pleasures of the world. Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom; but a man of understanding walks upright (honest, good, outstanding, moral, ethical, just, righteous, pure and true). Christ will have to be uppermost in our heart; and we help by maintaining and endorsing Him in our mind, and giving our soul to him. No longer do we offend or repulse our neighbors. The nasty attitudes toward others must die. Paul taught that circumcision should be optional for the people that believe it but we weren’t to put a person to death that believed it was right. It is urgent, an utmost that we stop seeing people in their fleshly state and see what God wants to do in them and encourage them to grow properly. Satan causes us to look upon others as being beneath us but we all must realize that we are all children in the sight of God. The conclusion of the whole matter is this; how we conclude our Christian walk. The outcome of a man’s life is a result of our belief and trust in God. We are overcomers in Christ Jesus.
We overcome by not being arrogant and presumptuous but humble and of a strong knowingly understanding of the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and Sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. We have known this since the foundation of the world. God gave man an order to follow since the first man and brought it back again through this second man, Jesus. We have to forsake our ways and pick up the way of Christ. He said He is the way, the truth, and life. We have the power to overcome. Satan uses us as scapegoats. He bites through our salvation as a scorpion. He throws some very painful things our way to draw us away from our salvation. He tries to cling to us with great tenacity and can only be removed with effort. Christ has given us the power to cast off every demon Satan sends our way if we stay powered up and use the power. We enslave ourselves to Satan’s use if we are not sold out to Christ.
We are servants that have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. We owe him to keep ourselves free from sin. We are children of the promise who are free. We obey God in righteousness; we serve Him in a special way. We carry the title we are given with distinction. We place ourselves in servile relations to another in order to bring them into the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Come to Jesus today; make him the choice in this life. He will come near to us and will be a swift witness against the one that accuse us. He will deliver us from the oppression, depression, and suppression in this world. Jesus Christ has made us worthy to be called a child of God. He has taken away the shame from us that we had when we were in our folly, being idle and full of pride in the wrong we did. He delivered us from lying, hasty speech, and dishonor toward our parents, quarreling and ingratitude when we walked erroneously. We brought forth willful ignorance to the table and complete dishonesty when we came to Christ but He didn’t turn us away; He gave us victory over our shameful ways. Christ has given us victory over whatever the trial or suffering. Wouldn’t we like to be free? Don’t we want to be an overcomer? The greatest sin is the failure to accept Jesus as the Christ. This is when failure is allowed to takes its clothes off living in the life of men every day. We are overcomers!
