Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited -- until you try to
sit in their pew.

The other day we had an accident in our neighborhood at a 4-Way
Stop intersection. I assume it occurred because one of the drivers
did not obey the stop sign. A mother and child in an SUV were
turned totally upside down. Thanks to seat belts and an effective
child restraint seat, the injuries were minor.

We can have all sorts of problems in life simply because we ignore
warning signs, intentionally or because of carelessness. Some of
these can be health related or maybe financially related. Life is full
of warning signs. To ignore them is to invite trouble.

God's Word is full of warning signs. One of them is tucked away
in perhaps the best known verse in the Bible, John 3:16 (nlt), "For
God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone
who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." Here is
the warning -- those who don't believe in Him (Christ) will never
spend eternal life with God in Heaven. So, I hope you have made
the decision to make Jesus Christ the ruler of your life. If not, you
can do it right now -- right there by your computer -- right now.
