Go To Hell?

The Merriam-Webster`s Collegiate dictionary refers to hell as the nether realm of the devil and the demons in which the damned suffer everlasting punishment. It is a place or state of turmoil or destruction. The bible refers to hell as a place of eternal damnation, weeping, wailing and gnashing of the teeth. It is a place of darkness, pain and many sorrows. So who on earth would want to go to hell? Millions of people do. They are in occults, Satanism, black magic etc.

We are living in a world where people think religion is enough to make it to heaven, but the word of God says except a man is born of the water and spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God (St. John 3:5). Many of us have love ones who are not saved. Some of our family members know the truth but refuse to get word washed. These are the ones we must pray for as well as anyone who is not saved because they are on their way to hell. Thousands of people in the villages of India have never heard of Jesus! They may not even know there is a place called hell. There are people here in America who do not believe that the devil exists. A reason for this is that television and other media outlets depict Satan as a fictional character with horns in his head. Obviously these people behind the scenes are not saved and are on their way to hell also unless they repent and believe the Gospel. Satan wants the world to think he does not exist. Whatever stronghold you have in your life is what he will use to bring you back to your old man ways and away from God.

Revelations 12:9 says “and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan which decieveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him”. Revelations 20:3 says “and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him that he should deceive the nations no more, til the thousand years should be fulfilled; and after that he must be loosed a little season. The key words are decieveth the world.

It is insane to believe that there is only a God in heaven and not a devil in hell. The good news is that you do not have to go to hell. You can go to heaven and be with God. God did not create hell for you but for Satan and his angels. Sadly, man keeps filling it up. It is funny that we say rest in peace and he or she is in a better place when we lose an unsaved love one. The truth is if that person is not saved, he or she definitely not resting in peace or in a better place! If man is not born again he is a child of the devil. The spirit of God is not in him. First Peter 4:18 says “and if the righteous scarcely be saved. Where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

John 3:16-17 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. Verse 18 says that he that believeth not is condemned already… and on his way to hell. We must also work hard to live a clean life. Choose Christ, you choose life. Choose the devil, you choose death. Everyday God gives us that choice. Amen.
