Monday evening I addressed and enjoyed response from a college class on Leadership. To say I was blessed is understatement.

The Vice president of the college gave me the grand tour prior to the class and I could only wonder at the goodness of God to this particular college. When he shared some of the plans for the future to which the Holy Spirit has laid on the heart of several people of means I literally held back a tear and settled for a mumbled praise the Lord.

A few years ago this college was the target of one of the most vicious attacks I have ever seen or heard of, a figurative crucifixion, with the literal if possible. Yet the leadership persevered and God is blessing.

Concerning figurative crucifixions A.W. Tozer wrote: "God will crucify without pity those whom He desires to raise without measure." The late man of God had the truth of the way God works in mind when he penned the statement. He knew what he was talking about having experienced several crucifixion attacks along the way.

Several years ago while I was going through a public/figurative crucifixion a thought popped into my mind as I prayed: To have a resurrection there must be a crucifixion.

When you are going through times of attack it is good to know that when those attacking count you dead and buried figuratively, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead bodily, will put new life into you.
