Rejoice in the Lord forever more
give praise to his Holy name
For he deserves this reverence of him
no matter how great the pains

In life we learn the ups and downs
we face a many on-slaughts
But after we've suffered a little while
our experience will bring results

Although at times fate throws a blow
and we don't always reach the shore
But rest assure it helps our faith
to explore his greatness more

Pressures come and worries descend
to beat against our frame
So our God to us, speaks his word of life
to help us to master the strain

Because the joy he gives it's very real
and it comes from deep within
For the times our souls got very low
then the joy bells start ringing again
