The current political badgering, bantering and well never mind the next word brought to my mind a statement, which is in harmony with biblical truth by Alfred Adler. Dr. Adler said:

"It is easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them."

How oft we hear the politicos whine when caught in some violation of stated principles, "Well, people just don't understand the pressure Washington puts on us." I think it is a wonderful thing to cave into pressure from a higher source, provided that source is the true authority. Many of us in America and other Western countries have a supposed "faith" which has as yet to be tried in real fire. The winds of hatred toward true Christianity are blowing at hurricane force and predicted to increase in velocity.

Rather than rant and rave about all the compromise among people of faith let me say that I pray each day for God's grace and power to personally stand fast to those principles clearly revealed in scripture.

Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."
