Sweet victory will come, if we hold on
for it's required that we must
When we suffer the cost, for his namesake
all of the benefits belong to us

So what if the Word comes to try our faith
as if to us, it'some, strange thing
Then how better to know, if God is able
except,we go through, what the trials bring

No test is pleasant at that time
there was no celebration when it came
Even though we know we have to stand our ground
and not each one, that comes, are the same

We can't can't even say, what each one feels
for we're not in each others test
But we do know we have to stand our ground
and let our weary minds be at rest

For our faith is only tried for a season
and there will be a time, that they will cease
For nothing ever happens, without a reason
so thanks be to God for His loving peace

Don't count him out, if he seems a little long
hang on in there, with all you've got
For even that little, faith that you have
to our God it weighs a lot
