While basking in the presence of my blessed Lord and King,
I was pouring out my heart to Him, telling Him everything.
Then suddenly my heart was filled with such a burning fire,
To know what He was thinking about and what is His desire?

A penny for Your thoughts I said...rather timidly at first,
Pennies from heaven began to fall just like a cloud that burst.
He began to throw His two cents in, one right after another,
These pennies began to rain so fast, I almost ran for cover.

He started off by saying that His thoughts were sure not mine,
Nor were My ways His ways, and that He would define.
The world looks up to mighty things, thinking that’s the way,
But I have chosen the weak things, in which My power to portray.

The foolishness of God is much wiser than all men,
But God has a weakness too, and that weakness is for children.
Young David killed a giant when he was only just a boy.
He used a little slingshot, which could seem just like a toy.

I didn’t need an army, He said, to bring that giant down,
I only needed just a lad, with faith that knew no bounds.
God said He chooses foolish things to put to shame the wise,
For the wisdom of this world...is foolish in Gods eyes.

He said we can have wisdom, passing Solomon’s by far,
For Christ becomes our wisdom, our bright and morning star.
Poor Solomon got so mixed up in all kinds of stuff,
That it all became just nonsense and that was not enough.

Solomon had a weakness that befalls so many men,
His weakness was for women, and his troubles sure began.
Solomon’s heart was turned, from being loyal to his God,
Now down the path of foolishness poor Solomon did trod.

Now this is My desire, the Lord said gently unto me,
That you love one another as My love has been for thee.
For if you had all wisdom, great faith, and everything,
It all becomes as nothing, unless love, doth reign as King.

(Isaiah 55:8—“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,”)

(1 Corin. 1:20—Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (25) Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men; (27) But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to
shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things to put to shame the things which are mighty. (30) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--)

(1 Corin. 13:2--And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.)
