I started out my journey on this rocky road called life,
Oblivious to the dangers and all impending strife.
My head was full of fancies like the clouds up in the sky,
The clouds I still find fancy as their meanings amplify.

My heart was very trusting believing all I ever heard,
Never even thinking, well that just sounds so absurd.
It was only as a Christian that the Spirit said to me,
Oh my poor beguiled one; I’ll give you eyes that you may see.

I remember going to Sunday school when I was just a child,
The pastor never shook my hand as through the door we filed.
My heart was always eager for him to notice me,
But he never did...which left a lasting memory.

Still there was the singing, that stirs my heart unto this day,
I was caught up in the Son shine that the Savior sent my way.
Little Mary sunshine is who I wanted to be,
Spreading rays of sunlight on everything I see.

That is yet a fancy that my heart still entertains,
Now I’m not so gullible, knowing it comes through many pains.
For only through the sufferings that God has brought me through,
Has made me a little brighter for this fancy to pursue.

Now if I had my way when all is said and done,
We would see this world lit up by the light of the Son.
This is where my fancy in life has taken me,
To see the world delivered...to Christ in victory.

Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds; He scatters His bright clouds. And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance, that they may do whatever He commands them on the face of the whole earth. He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for His land, or for mercy. “Listen to this, O Job; stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Do you know when God dispatches them, and causes the light of His cloud to shine? Do you know the balance of clouds those wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?
(Job 37:11-16)

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
(John 8:12)
