MY HIGH TOWER



My God is my high tower, my defender,
He hides me under his wings.
My God is the one I run to
When my soul can no longer sing.

In the valley so low or the mountains high,
He comes to my side and wipes the tear from my eye
He sends his angels to watch over me.
I have felt their presence even though I cannot see.

He is the king of all kings, in heaven he reins,
At the father’s side, he will watch over his domain.
I am free from sin because of his redeeming love
He’s the one I search for, and I’ll be with him above

So let us rejoice with our God Emanuel
Our spirits should leap for the truth to tell
He is with us in spirit; he dwells in our heart,
Forever and eternity he will never depart.
