When God planned to create man, He didn’t plan to create fools. His intention was to create human being in His own image, after His likeness with a mandate to have dominion over all other creatures. He wanted all His creatures to live in perfect peace and harmony. But what do we see today? Something contrary. One of the major problems the world as a whole and family in particular are facing is the problem of anger.

Anger is a major destroyer. It has destroyed marriages, organizations, homes, community peaceful co-existence, vision, ministries, etc.

Anger is an expression of madness in a lower degree. This therefore means that madness and anger look alike. Anger brings retrogression. It destroys relationship. No meaningful progress can be achieved where anger rules. A home where either the husband or the wife exhibits anger can never experience love and peace meant for the home. Organisation led by an angry boss can never enjoy the benefits supplied by strong team work. The strong force that can advance organization goals and objective will be totally weakened by anger. Anger is indeed a plaque.

Hear the scriptures view about anger: ‘Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: FOR ANGER RESTETH IN THE BOSOM OF FOOLS. Eccl 7:9.

It is only a fool who accommodates anger. It has a resting place in the bosom of a fool. Anger destroys the angry man from inside out. God consider anyone who allows anger to rule him a FOOL. I hope you are not one! Kill that anger before it kills you.

You have the ability to choose how to respond to situations. You can choose not to be angry even when circumstances call for it.
HE THAT IS SLOW TO ANGER IS BETTER THAN THE MIGHTY; AND HE THAT RULETH HIS SPIRIT THAN HE THAT TAKETH A CITY. Pr 16:32.

Are you finding it difficult to control your temper? Do you flair up at a little provocation? You can be helped. Take your situation to God through Jesus Christ in prayer. ‘If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it’ is what Jesus promised in John 14:14. Chose an attitude of temperament, love and longsuffering. Renew your mind through the word of God. MAY THE LORD EMPOWER YOU TO DESTROY EVERY TRACE OF ANGER IN YOUR LIFE SO THAT IT WILL NOT DESTROY YOU. Peace.
