The enemy wants to get in our spiritual house
so he can eat up our soul food
Which is the word of God that abides inside
oh' that fellow is a nasty dude

He searches in our cabinets and closet doors
our heart that our God swept clean
And his job is to steal, the goods we have
for he wants to rule, and be supreme

He jumps on our roof top to bring it down
that's our minds that's full of peace
Bringing in negative thoughts which is only lies
used to control and keep us on leash

And if that's not enough he will poke and pry
to find fault's about you and me
For he loves to false accuse, that's his trade
but that's ok" you and I are free

He's there watching every step that we make
laying stumbling blocks in our way
But, we are grounded on a sure foundation
because the stone, our God did lay

Our walls of prayer and devotions
he's working hard to break them down
But, our God has covered it with his power
and inside it's safe and sound

He constantly is knocking, on our hearts door
wanting to enter and take God's place
Where joy and comfort are settled in-
and he wants evil to fill that space

We have to continue to eat heaven's soul food
and digest it each and every day
It was already prepared by God our Savior
and he said to us he is the way

Take heart O' soul, we have a mighty builder
that has secured every room there-in
For Our God has given the key to every exit
and with him we will surly win
