Well hello O' life, it's another new day
to meet you on your surf or plain
What's on the plate that you offer to serve
and have you even, given it a name

I have soared above, and beyond humiliation
and did surpass of all the shame
Your no more threat to me, or even, an enemy
so I hold you not, to one ounce of blame

See, I've learn to capture the stars in my hands
I took the moon to be my friend
And there were many times I hid from them
when sorrows didn't have no end

I now can find joy even in my troubles
and they no longer control my day
and though they still stop by, once in awhile
but, can't stay, then have to go away

Life, didn't roll out to me, the red carpet
no flowers came at the door for me
And once when I begin to accept life's challenge
I found so much in it for me to see

Now I could have chose to be mean and bitter
or go and plant the flowers I like
And to find all sorts of reasons to bail out
or tell misery to go take a hike

There is always going to be a few damp days
and nights that the stars won't shine
But, since I've found, that life's worth living
I begin to claim what is rightly mine

I started sweeping all through the rubbles
and put some positve on my route
And held nothing against the negative part
for it too has a way of helping out

Take as like a car battery it has them both
negative and positive, working together
So as it is with life, it too has two parts
still things can work out for the better

Now when I start to cry, weep, sob and moan
something will jot, my senses right then
And I know it's for me, to take some charge
and fight on with a mind to win
