In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

These are the very first words in the bible. They tell us where our planet came from and who made it happen. Evolutionists believe everything happened by chance. Things just evolved from nothing. There may be different names they use, but the most common one used is "The big bang theory". But as you can see from the bible, that's not true. There's a lot of different analogies used to clarify the whole creation vs. evolution debate. The one I hear the most is the one about the watch. "The watch exists because it has a maker. On the face of the watch it tells you who that maker is.(Genesis 1:1).The bible tells you there's an earth, that it exists, and who its maker is.....God.

The heaven is yours, the earth too; The world and all it holds --- you established them (Psalms 89:12).

Just a quick note before I continue. The bibles we use today have the above verse as Psalms 89:11. I quoted this verse out of the Tanakh. So if you were to look the verse up in your bible you'll see it at Psalms 89:11.

Now that that's cleared up, we can see from this verse that heaven, earth and all that's in it belongs to God. He established them. John 1:3 tells us that "ALL things were made BY HIM; and WITHOUT HIM was not anything made that was made (also Isaiah 45:18). So in other words, what you see around you, and yes, even us, wouldn't have existed if it hadn't been for our Heavenly Father. He made it all. There was no big bang. The universe didn't just start expanding like scientists and evolutionists explain it.

In the beginning was the word (voice), and the word (voice) was with God, and the word (voice) was God (John 1:1).

Here we have "the beginning" again. This time we hear about "the word" (Jesus Christ). Now as you may recall (if you've read the creation account), you'll remember how the bible kept saying "and God said". When He said something it happened.

"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit (Holy Spirit) of God moved upon the face of the waters." (Genesis 1:2 KJV)

So now we're introduced to the second part of the trinity (the Holy Spirit). His job is to make everything come to pass as God commands (Psalms 104:30).

And God said (gave THE WORD): "let there be light", and there was light (Genesis 1:3 KJV). Here we have for the first time God speaking and all 3 members of the trinity at work together.

So now you see how everything is starting to work.
We have:

1) God tells "the Word" (Jesus) the command

2) Jesus relays the message to the Holy Spirit

3) The Holy Spirit brings it to Pass.

Now you are seeing how things are beginning to unfold and how the Father, Son, and Holy

Spirit are working together to make everything happen. This is pretty much how it happens

throughout the entire bible and especially today.


When we pray (Philippians 4:6), we tell our prayer to Jesus (the mediator 1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus then relays our prayer to God, God gives His answer, Jesus tells the answer to the Holy Spirit which dwells in us (Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17). Then the Holy Spirit moves us to act upon God's commandment. The same goes if we were praying for someone or some place else except God's Spirit will be moving in that person or area.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:4-5 KJV)

Next time we'll continue our journey through creation with day 2. I'll keep you posted on how it's coming along. But in the mean time, here's a little challenge for you. In Genesis 1:2,3. there's a hidden message that pretty much everybody overlooks without realizing it. See if you can figure it out.
