Forbidden Fruit

Numbers 32:23 “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned
against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.” (KJV)

If I had been a fly on Adam’s parlor wall.
I would tell you what I heard and it’s all about the fall.
Eve had been out searching for some vegetables to eat.
When she was not vigilant, guess whom she did meet?

What she saw was beautiful and was twisted in a tree.
Later she told Adam, “That serpent spoke to me.
He told me I was missing the knowledge of a god.”
He said, “I’ll tell you true, this fruit is not outlawed.”

“Adam, take a bite and you will be like me.
It’s amazing what I’ve learned and all that I can see.”
So Adam took a bite and WOW the things that changed.
Life and death and sorrow, these all were rearranged.

God didn’t leave them naked, He clothed them with some skin.
Something shed it’s blood to cover up their sin.
God made them a promise that when His Son was grown,
He’d shed His precious blood, not to cover but atone.

The serpent was so subtle that Eve had been deceived,
Adam sinned on purpose cause God’s Word was not believed.
When the Bible tells the truth, “Your Sins will find you out.”
Believe God’s Word is true. Believe and do not doubt.
