God’s Child

As I sit facing the wind
I close my eyes and listen
Oblivious of the world outside
I can only hear my heart beating
I’m alive. . . . I’m alive

I feel Your love surround me now
My body is Your creation
My soul is Your voice
You are so close, a heartbeat away
I’m alive. . . . I’m alive

My whole being rejoices
You are so near, I can feel You
A wonderful thought, a beautiful feeling
I am here, complete and healing
I’m alive. . . . I’m alive

I celebrate life to the fullest
I embrace all the love around me
I own the blessings bestowed on me
I am God’s child

I hold on to my faith to get me through
The trust I have lives inside me now
Today, I chose life!
Today, I chose God!
