It’s Time To Stop Running

Ezekiel 12:21-25 and the Word of the Lord came to me saying, Son of Man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying the days are prolonged and every vision faileth? Tell them therefore, thus said the Lord God; I will speak and the Word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged; for in your days O rebellious house; will I say the Word and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

God has been speaking and man has not been listening. The first man didn’t listen and blamed the woman; the woman blamed the serpent but now it’s time man stop running with excuses that have been since destroyed by Jesus. It is futile to attempt a logical definition of God. It is obvious that strictly speaking, God cannot be classified with any other person, thing, or objects. He is in a class by himself, absolutely. What Scripture has revealed to us about God serves to give us a description of him adequate to our present power of conception and to our present needs. God depends on no one for his existence and has everything else dependent upon Him for its existence; for He is the most exalted being we can’t run or hide from. It’s time we stop running from God. What we run to can’t save or keep us. It’s time to stop running man. It’s time to give God his due after all it is He that does everything for us. Jesus, through Him we have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Also we have boldness and confidence by the faith of Him. God is able to save us to the uttermost when we stop running from him and to him. Hebrews 7:25 wherefore He is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for us. Why won’t we turn and trust the one that is eternal? We need to draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to us. I John 4:16, God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

It was a time that God’s people went from here to there to stay alive but now Jesus have taken away that sting of death and confound the grips of Hell in the life of man when they will stop running and look to Him who is the author and finisher of our faith. David declared in Psalm 9:7 the Lord shall endure forever. Psalm 33:11 the counsel of the Lord stand forever the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Psalm 41:13 blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. We are to delight to do the will of God when his law is planted in our heart. God will bring us up out of the pits of life. He will set our feet upon a rock and establish our goings. He will put a new song in our heart and in our mouths. God will put his praise in us that He may dwell on the inside of us. God delight in the praise of His people. Because God is in our thoughts, before we do anything we are to consult Him as to what is right or wrong. We are to put God first in all of our concerns. The works we do will be declared and spoken of in more ways than we can imagine or number. Although we did not desire sacrifices and offerings to uplift ourselves, God heard them and opened his heart to us.

Jesus came in the volume of the book as it was written of Him. We can speak the Word to people on the inside of the church but the work is on the outside. We have to follow what Jesus said. He said to go, run; declare the faithfulness of God and thy salvation. It’s time to stop running and concealing God’s love and kindness; from whoever will listen. God’s truth must be on the inside of us and in exchange God will not withhold his tender mercies from us. God’s love, kindness and his truth will continuously preserve us.

Why do we run from the one that created us? Enumerable evils have compassed us about, iniquities have taken a hold on us from time to time but it’s time we be set free. We need to be set free so that we can look up to God and our hearts won’t fail. God wants to be pleased and He will deliver us and make haste to help us. We won’t stop running because we love the pleasures of sin. We are poor in Spirit and so needy of the Lord. God still thinks on us, He is our help and deliverer. He will tarry with us in our ups and downs to keep us where we can seek Him the more. It’s time to stop running.

When will we stop running and beating the air. We find favor with God and man so we fear and trust the Lord. We stop giving heed to things in life that are not important. No longer do we disrespect God and follow after the proud, nor turn aside to lies but know the works of God that you have done is wonderful in his sight. To everything there is a season, a time to live, a time to die, and a time to stand before God and confess our sin before Him. There is also a time to accept Him as Lord of Lord and King of King. We have a race to run and it isn’t to the ones that may run; the fastest, or is the strongest but to them that endure the race to the end. We are dying in the midst of the second and third mile. The first mile is confession of sins. The second mile is sanctifying ourselves as we learn the Word and applying it to our lives. The third mile is actually living Sanctified and Holy; pure before God and man.

Who told you that once saved, always saved? That is a lie of the Devil. Once we get saved we have to continue on that course all the way to the end. Jesus said so and He died for what He did and said. Who are we that we can change what Jesus our Redeemer said? Do we think we are gods? The run is for Heaven one day. Before God tells us to depart He will allow us to give our explanations about what we have done for Him before He pronounces His judgment on our soul. The soul of men is what the Devil plays with; he knows that the soul is what God breathe His Spirit in and man became a living soul. Man is a soul with a body

Everything in the earth has a season of life. It’s time we stop running away from God. We cannot run from His presence. As I watched the squirrel run across the electric power lines, I wondered how they can run across a live power source and not die. As a human I can’t do that and live. Every day the birds congregate on the electric wires assumedly to praise the Lord at a certain time every morning. They run a course every day on the live wires. The cows congregate together in expectancy of bad weather. Where do they run to when the weather gets boisterous? Where do the horses go? How is the animals protected from the bad weather? So many questions; one might say but it is something to be thought of. The animals are so unique in nature and they can do things that man wouldn’t dare challenge. We can live out in the rain if it is a drizzle or shower. But they live through the storms. Very rarely you hear of animals dying in a tornado or hurricane, wind storm, rainstorm or snowstorm; Why? Man can do things animals can’t do; such as drive automobiles. They have houses, homes and other means of shelter, but so does the animals. God has provided everything in the earth a man need so why do they act like animals throughout the course of their lives? God did make man differently from animals.

God created and made man and man also made things that would be useful to them in the earth. One thing they made was a light for darkness. God made the sun for the day and the moon for the night. Man also made lamps for light and God sent us the light; Jesus. Man doesn’t deviate far from the mind of the Creator in their inventions but they live as though they know not God. God gave them food for the body and man put everything in the body. God gave men helpmeets; a woman from their own body and now they want to clone man. How much more does man have to do to show God that he is more than the Creator Himself? They do everything imaginable to keep up the race for hell. Well you don’t have to do much to go to hell, just don’t obey God! Salvation is worked on every day. In life yes we have the good, bad, and ugly to deal with but when it comes to God, we are running a race to win it. Heaven is a promise for the obedient. We know we face things in the earth because we are human. We also know that we have a choice to run to obedience. As a people we take for granted that God is going to have mercy on us because we say we love Him. Think again!

God will be harder on us that say we are Christians if we don’t obey. To him that knows to do good and don’t do it; it is sin. Jude 3, beloved when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith; which was once delivered unto the Saints. Jude also in verse 11, woe unto them, for they have gone the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gain saying of Core. It’s time we run to God and not away from Him. He is that He is, stop running!

The Church in America has been warned over and over again that they were jeopardizing the Church of Jesus Christ that they started out with; with sin. They will lie, steal, kill, covet, commit adultery, and put God on the back burner of life. Hip hop, fast cash, fancy cars, airplanes, buying lovers homes, keeping two and three families, and every damnable spirit from hell has been portrayed in the Church that have named the name of Christ. It’s time to awake out of sleep old sluggards. It’s time we save ourselves and the world around us.

It’s time to put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-11 finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God; that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We are in spiritual warfare like never before. My brother and sister we are leading men and women and children that Christ came to die for straight to the pits of hell. What are we doing? Wake up we are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness, principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We are no match for Satan, but God is and we have to give our all that God will spare us.

We have to equip ourselves with the armor God has given us and not what we think we need. He said we are to be a strong soldier in the Lord. Putting on the whole armor means we girt our loins about with truth. We have a breastplate of righteousness; put it on. Not the world’s righteousness either but God. Our feet must be shod with the gospel of peace. Of course we don’t want to put on the helmet of salvation, it protects our head. So many Christians has gotten their heads bad with a watered down gospel and they don’t know if they are coming or going. The reason we don’t know is because we will not pick up our Bibles and read our Word every day when it is our sword of the Spirit. The last is predicated upon how much Word we have ingested before we go to Church. We are to always pray with prayer and supplication.
