God’s Precious Gifts

Psalm 127:3-4 “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD:
and the fruit of the loom is his reward. As arrows are in the
hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is
the man that hath his quiver full of them:” (KJV)

There are seven precious girls that have come into my life.
Three daughters, four grand daughters but first of all my wife.
All daughters have a daughter and one of them has two.
Each one of them have beauty that comes from you know who.

It started with their mother who is Swedish through and through.
No more beautiful beginning an offspring ever knew.
It helps when genes are perfect and not tainted from the start.
Each therefore is beautiful and also very smart.

Some men are blessed with money, while some are blessed with health.
These are my precious gems, that is where I get my wealth.
Come valentine this year I just want to let them know.
I thank the Lord each day for them because I love them so.

There is not a day for boys. With five grandsons I’m blessed.*
Should I say they’re beautiful? No, this they would detest.
But handsome, strong and curious, maybe that would do.
I cannot leave them out for they have my genes too.

* We cannot leave out Jackson Clay, our adopted grandson.
