Gospel
The story of Adam and Eve, how they each heeded to the call of a failure is so pitiful. Often times as individuals, we tend to seek the truth behind stories we see everyday. We look for the first person to tell us "what really happened!". Yet this is all a show of gross disbelief that the people of God have, despite being given a lifeline in the Holy Spirit.
One thing that keep slipping our mind is that we have already been told the truth, the one truth and for us to stick to it, we abide by the Spirit. I think of how a court makes one swear, so that he tells the "truth". Of course, what comes of the mouth of the witnesses maybe that which they saw with their own eyes, but that doesn't guarantee truth!
We come from a wealthy family, and we ought not trade that for even a single earthly gift. We can't afford to dragged along to hell by the forces that use our fleshly desires to constrain our spiritual strength. As we enjoy the prospects of a blessed year, let us not forget that God is a refuge, we can stand firm; and not be attached to the sin of this world!
