The book of Genesis talks about how Lot the nephew of Abraham was suffering Spiritually when he was in Sodom and Gomorrah. It talks about the fact that he found no solace in the city, even though he new this was where his earthly life was to be.
In those days however, our Lord God fended for him, so that he would be preserved for a testimony to and for the Lord. I realize now that God cares for us, even when we are apparently despised with the rest of our neighbors' wicked ways. Even when destruction was to come upon him, through the wicked ways of the natives, he was found worthy to live another day for the Lord.
To be in mud is not to be dirty! To be found in dust is not to be unworthy. God is a cleansing fire, even in times of shame, he can cast out filth matter from within us. Let us cling and shout to the Lord all the days of our lives!
