What Hath Light To Do With Darkness

To understand and be understood is two different things. We don't understand the ratification of drug or alcohol use or any other addiction if we have never been there. Can God deliver us? Yes He can because it is He that converts the heart of man. We have to be transformed, turned around and realize our worth. The average addicted person must first realize their worth. Just as them, the Christian must realize their worth with God also so that they will build up their self esteem. The addiction itself tears down the confidence and satisfaction in oneself. They lose their self respect as a human being and only regard their own standard; standing or position. The revelation they have is of their own thoughts, feelings and attitude without deliberate intent. They hurt the people they love as well as themselves because of an improper understanding of who they really are.

They are ruled by no one, conceited, and self sacrificing for their own interest. Even their wrong is right in their sight just like the self righteous Christian. Self Righteousness is an addiction also that keeps us from seeing God right. We esteem ourselves to be right and everybody else is wrong. This is plain and simple idolatry. We make idols of people and God says we should have no one before Him. We set leaders and others up to fail when we put them in the position only God should have in our lives. We are self serving, permitting only their service for self gain. We are so convinced of our righteousness when God's righteousness show up we miss it. God's righteousness calls for respect that cannot be understood in the flesh but Spirit. God's Spiritual Laws are not understood in the flesh. Man is moved by what is convenient for them, never giving a second thought that they may destroy a soul in the process.

Lies is produced by others to tear down the integrity of man, thereby stealing souls through deceit. Adam was not targeted directly by Satan to make them disobey what God had said. He beguiled and used Eve to deceive Adam as Adam saw nothing happened as God had said when she ate of the fruit; so he ate also. After he bit off of the fruit their eyes came open and they realized what they had done so they hid. It was Satan's plan to steal the soul of the newly created man. He lied to them, making them think God had not meant what He said. Satan hasn't gone anywhere, he is still using man to tear down the Kingdom of God. We have to be careful that he don't cause us to stand in the way of a sinner to be converted. Satan is self serving and man is self seeking; selfish because they seek to advance themselves and not God. We slaughter others with consideration for God. We are able to maintain ourselves in this world without the sustaining power of God. How deceived we are, everthing created is dependent on God. Many Christians are just like these mixed up addicted people that don't know their way. They have an extreme confidence in their own abilities and worth. Man have learned the trade of Christianity and is only religious just like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus' day.

The drug addict, the alcoholic, or sexually perverted people also have learned their trade and know how to survive, even how to pray to God for help. But if they never come to the saving knowledge of God, they will find out that judgment is pronounced on them already. God says enough is enough. We as Christians can take a lesson from the page of the sinners game book. They are zealous and hard bent on getting what they want. They learn all about what it is they want and go for it, unlike the Christian that won't pick up their Bibles from one week to another. They exercise their love for the addiction where the Christian most times won't say a word for God. They are self taught but the Christian is too lazy to go to Bible Study, YPWW, or midweek service to get a fresh Word from God. Don't mention intercessory prayer, you would think it was a sin. We do not seek out the things to empower us to become that disciple of Christ. Jesus is the Word and had to take on flesh and die a horrific death and we won't study the Word. What is that they say, they better be glad I come to church on Sunday. The one addicted to knowing more of God must do as the sinner does, seek after what you want. The sinner acquire knowledge and all the skills necessary to get what they want.

To become a Saint that pleases God and God can use we have to learn about God. We live righteous because of what we learn each day. Righteousness brings us to God and Jesus come alive the more in our lives. Living righteous in this time takes some sacrifice. It takes effort, but we can get to God and know more of His Spirit if we so desire and stop relying on our own intellect. What hath light with darkness.
