Time Is At Hand
Now Run And Tell That
Revelation 22:6-13
And He said unto me, these saying are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the Holy Prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold I come quickly; blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. And I John saw these things and heard them and when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, see thou do it not; for I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren the Prophets and of them which keep the sayings of this book; worship God. And he saith unto me, seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. What we hear and has seen of the Lord, tell it. We will take our thought from verse ten; Time Is At Hand.
Our sub topic, Now Run And Tell That. comes to us from Jesus as He spoke to the Pharisees after they had come out and took counsel against him how they might destroy him in Matthew 12:36-37; but I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shall be justified and by thy words thou shall be condemned.
Time; time just keep on moving rather we catch it or not. Romans 14:12; so then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Time is the measure or measurable period during which an action, process or condition exists or continues. Time is also the duration a nonspatial continuum that is measured in terms of events which succeed one another from past, through present, to future. It's the point or period when something occurs. Time is the appointed; fixed or customary moment or hour for something to happen, begin, or end. A season, experience, or fulfillment of a promise as the Holy Ghost in Acts 2:2-4. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound as a mighty rushing wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them tongues parting asunder, like as of fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak as the Spirit gave them utterance. We wait on the time of Jesus' return, but Jesus already returned to us through the Holy Ghost which helps us and lead us through the terrains of life. What we do in this life will bring us once again to stand with Jesus or burn in the fiery pits of Hell.
There is a time for all things and we play with the time as we have time to get things right. We will give an account of all the things we have done in the flesh. To give an account means we will one day stand and answer to God, rather our deeds is good or bad. Account means we will answer concerning our actions through the means of explaining or explanation. All of our reasons, cause and motives for our actions will be examined and questioned. What we value in life will be important to us. We will give the most attention to them, with careful thought to the things we esteem high. Some of us have done so much we can't keep a mental record or trace the facts on our own behalf. Its time now that we become accountable to God. How will we answer at that time? How we think of God will show in everything we do and how well we obey what He tells us to do.We are responsible for our own actions. We can achieve our goal to go on to meet the Father in Heaven. We have to carry out salvation from beginning to end, for he who endure all the way to the end, the same shall be saved. We have not finished our course, we are being refined day to day and we have a date with our Creator.
Paul became important to Christianity and he should never be over estimated. He was a thorough Jew, a Hellenistic Jew, not a Hellenizer though. He was reared in Tarsus as a Pharisee and became a loyal follower of the Pharisees. Because He was blood hungry and killed the believers including Thomas Jesus' Disciple he also lost his head to Nero after finally being caught. Although he accepted Christ and became one of the greatest Apostles he still had a past to deal with.
In the tunnels of life lingers some of the most darkest hours in the life of a Saint. Genesis 1:2, darkness was over the face of the earth. The night was before the day. God split the night that day would be. The darkness or dark hours is the night. God called the darkness night in Genesus 1:5. In Romans 13:12, Paul said that the night is far spent because sin is rampant in the land. St. John 3:19-20, and this is the condemnation that light is come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil; for everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, lest the deeds be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light that his deeds may be made manisfest that they are wrought in God.
Sin causes a separation from God, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit departs. This separation is a curse to all that fall therein. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. God walks through our troubled times with us and He will revive us if we go through the darkness of the tunnel and reach the light. On the other side of darknesss it time. Time is at hand for us but we must come to the light that is at the end of the Tunnel. We the people of God reflects in the light when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus said in St. John 8:12, then spake Jesus again unto them saying I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. Darkness represented not only a lack of light but powers of evil. Light not only signified a time of day but a time of happiness, of true religion, or the Word of God. Darkness in us is used to signify the ignorance and misery of the wicked. David although he was in battle most times realized that it was a greater power that worked on his behalf. The Lord was his light and salvation. His Word was a lamp to his feet and light to his path. We start our way through the darkness and go through the rough times the tunnel represents. If we could only stay the course Jesus has called ut to we can walk out of the darkness into the light.
Time is at hand, Now run and tell that. When Jesus met the woman at the well, she was not the same anymore. She came to Him a prostitute but left Him an Evangelist. She ran and told all that He told her. She could not keep it to herself. We have to deal with this life from birth to death. Even Jesus had to deal with life as a man in the earthen flesh. Before he did the work of God He came for he was also tested in the flesh, Matthew 4. He made a conscious choice to remain with God. This flesh is something else; we are not super people. We fall, get up and grow from what went through. Time is at hand, now run and tell that.
