God’s Purpose is Divine

Hebrews 13:5-6 “…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (KJV)

If we could know the purpose of our Father up above,
We would find in everything God deals with us in love.
The blessings and the trials every one has a design.
And we can trust Him fully for His purpose is divine.

He never once has had to say, “I’m sorry for that fall.”
For if we knew His purpose we would praise Him for them all.
Some He shows us here and now, for some we’ll have to wait.
But all will be seen clearly when we enter heaven’s gate.

I know the trials and hardships are often hard to bear.
But God will give the reason when we’re gathered over there.
In trials we lean upon Him and this is His design.
They bring us closer to Him, our gold thus to refine.

Our patience is a virtue that grows from trials here.
But we can trust Him always that He is always near.
Recall the Hebrew children. God stood with them in the fire. *
God wants to walk beside us. Always this is His desire.

One thing is for certain, when we reach that blessed shore.
Our trials will be over, only blessings evermore.
Our eyes will then be open when we see our Savior’s face.
We’ll know that He has always dealt with us in love and grace.

* Daniel 3:24-25 “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” (KJV)
