What If?

I Timothy 1:15 “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all
acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save
sinners; of whom I am chief.” (KJV)


What if Jesus had not come to earth so long ago?
There would be no sacrifice that cleanses white as snow.
What if Jesus had not come and walked in Galilee?
There would be no miracles, the blind would still not see.

What if Jesus had not come and in the inn no room?
There would be no risen Christ and too, no empty tomb.
What if Jesus had not come to tell of God’s great love?
Our hearts would still be empty and no home in heaven above.

What if Jesus had not come and multiplied fish and bread?
Our lives would not be filled with peace but only fear and dread.
What if Jesus had not come to die upon the cross?
We would be condemned to hell to suffer pain and loss.

What if Jesus had not come and walked upon the earth?
There would be no Christmas day to celebrate His birth.
What if Jesus had not come? But “what if” is thrown out.
For Jesus Christ did come to earth, of that I have no doubt.
