Christ’s Birthday

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (KJV)

It matters not what date we choose.
None know for sure which one to use.
What matters most that we recall
Is that Christ’s birth was for us all.

In fact it may have been in spring,
When shepherds heard the angels sing,
To tell to men of humble birth
That God’s Son had been born on earth.

A birth date we should sure recall,
Is when we heard the Savior’s call.
Born from above, yes “born again;” *
The Spirit’s birth when cleansed from sin.

The date Christ came we may not know.
That God’s Son came we know is so.
Christ came to die for all mankind.
This was the plan that God designed. **

No matter which date you may choose,
Just thank the Lord for this great news.
Because Christ came to die for me;
I have new life eternally.

become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: But as
many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name: Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.” (KJV)
