Not For Angels

I Peter 1:12 “…Which things the angels
desire to look into.” (KJV)

Why do angels praise His name?
Why His righteousness proclaim?
Crying, “holy” night and day.
His every bidding they obey.

He did not give His Son for them.
Nor wear the thorny diadem.
For them He did not suffer loss.
For them no death upon the cross.

For angels there was no blood shed.
No resurrection from the dead.
For us the crown of thorns He wore.
For us these things Christ suffered sore.

Yet they are faithful to His cause.
While men defy His holy laws.
God did not give them saving grace.
No, only for the human race!
