Trust and Obey

Psalm 23 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh
me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for
his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine
enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will
dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” (KJV)

Trust always in the Lord for His plans that are ahead.
He knows and holds the future. By His hand we’re daily lead.
God will not desert me. He knows my every need.
He guides me in the path to green pastures where I feed.

When you know the Shepherd whose love can know no end,
Who sacrificed His life when He knew how we had sinned.
You know that you can trust Him to always do what’s right.
This gives me peace of mind and makes the future bright.

The problem that we face; like sheep we go astray.
We fail to follow closely and wander from the way.
Sometimes because we’re careless. Sometimes we just rebel.
But God is true and faithful to lift up from where we fell.

Oft times these falls leave scars. This cannot be denied.
But His balm of love and healing in mercy is applied.
This calls for quick repentance, to turn our steps around.
He’s faithful to forgive us, for His grace doth still abound.

I John 1:8-9 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (KJV)
