The days come and they go
The old sinking quietly away as the new arrives
With barely a ripple to announce it’s coming
And yet within our hearts a gentle wave is slowly growing
Promising to break upon these lonely shores like a tsunami of holy love

A familiar Voice is whispering to our souls: “Get ready...”
His Spirit singing into our spirit
“Get ready to believe ...Get ready to receive”
We raise our heads in response to that still small Voice
And as our eyes meet our hearts soar with the knowing
That this is the time of no more waiting...
This is the time of fulfillment

All at once this newborn promise in our hearts
And the promise of the ages are one
Out of the Greatest Love is pouring a new love
A song just for us, written by the very Hand of God
And as the music fills us we see the glorious wonder of it all:
All the love we’ve given Him
Is being returned to us as holy gifts to one another
Like two streams converging in the woods
Our love and His love becoming one love

And as we give, we live in Him and through Him for each other
As our promise is made holy
So let us give one another all he has given us:
A grace without limit and a love without end
And let us place that love at His feet in sweet surrender
So that, being filled with His Spirit, we may receive it back again:
To have and to hold ...from this day forth
And even forever more
