Your eyes are like those
That loose the ink in the poet’s pen.
Beautiful and deep
When they look at you...
Amazingly, they see only the good

Your smile of a brightness
That makes the sun in shame
Long for the end of day.
And calls the stars to come and dance

Your laughter a song so sweet
That only angel’s know the words
And with eager voices
Rejoice to sing along

The love you give so deep
Loneliness disappears within its depths
Empty lives are filled from its bounty
And broken hearts are healed
With but a single touch

Because of you
Somewhere a soul is thankful
For the time he spent on earth,
Somewhere a mother is thankful
That her womb ever contained such a blessing
And somewhere a father is thankful
That he has the privilege of calling you
