He hesitated at the corner of his youth.
Age, toil and uncertainty
Lay stretched out before him.
Loneliness and confusion
Had weighed his journey down thus far;
Slowing his steps - stripping his hope.
Yet still he gathered his waning strength,
Drew a breath and turned the corner.

And there he froze...captive to what was before him.
She stood there - strong and beautiful
And stole that breath away.
She lit the path all around her,
Shining like a beacon,
Penetrating the dark road beyond her.

She barely noticed him at first,
But she filled his heart
In an instant.
She was everything he wasn’t:
Sure... steady... on her way;
Preparations made...destination in sight.
He was aimless...fearful...tottering,

She could have passed him by.
She would have passed him by.
But God gave him favor this day.
This day she was strangely drawn to him.
And in that strange attraction
A miracle occurred.
She... so sure... was pondering another path;
And he... so lost... was all at once at home.

They travel the road as one now;
Bonded yet by that strange attraction.
Still exchanging the best and worst parts
Of who they are.
And making of their love this lesson for
All doubting souls;

A chasm between two people
Is easily bridged by the Love of God
And what that Love joins together...
No man can split asunsder!
