So...

Yesterday, I had a fight with God... Well, maybe not a fight, but an arguement... a disagreement. Anyway, we had a discussion. It went a little something like this:

God: I need you to fast.

Me: Who are you talking to, Lord??

God: You... I need you to fast.

Me: (laughing) You must be mistaken, Lord. I like to eat!!!!

God: I don't care. I need you to fast.

Me: Are you sure? I really like to eat!

God: Yes. I'm sure.

Me: But LORD... I have fasted for you each and every time you've called me to do it.

God: Well, then. Just do it! I'm calling you to it AGAIN!!

Me: Well Lord... I need a sign. Really. If you need me to fast you will have to show me. I need to be sure!

God: Are you kidding me?? You need a sign? I'm telling you to fast... YOU WILL FAST!

Me: OK, Lord... if you need me to fast, please let Geoff talk about fasting at some point during our class tonight (Now... I say this because we have been discussing the seven FEASTS in the Bible... surely, we WILL NOT DISCUSS FASTING!!!)

God: (silent)


I'm telling you... as sure as I'm sitting here typing this...

Geoff began discussing fasting towards the end of our class!!! I was in complete and utter shock! And I heard the Lord laughing... SERIOUSLY!!! Laughing!!

In that moment I felt like the little penguin walking next to the big penguin... and the big penguin smacks the little penguin in the back of the head, in a 'what were YOU thinking' sort of manner. LOL

Needless to say... My fast begins Monday;)
