Encouragement

'LORD... you have put a great calling upon Candice's life. And, a great anointing. I pray that she walks within that anointing.'

These are the words that were spoken over me this morning at church. I felt my breathing cease. The tears flow. The hands of my fellow Christians lay upon me. One on my upper back. One on my lower back. Two upon my shoulders.

This was an alter call... something I've not participated in... well, in a long time. It was not one of forgiveness (for me); nor was it for salvation. It was a call for those who had trust issues. Insecurity. Those looking for the 'something more' that is missing from their lives.

When the call was made, I felt as though I was running towards the front of the alter. I couldn't get there fast enough. I must have looked like a child who was asked to come to the kitchen for dessert. But, I didn't care. I had to be up there. I had to be present in the moment... It was not one I could pass by.

I've often prayed for the Lord to reveal to me the calling on my life. One that would 'fit' into my life... easily. One that was comfortable. One that required little to no prep time. One that was convenient. One that would suit my lifestyle. One that would not be a great shock to those around me.

I've come to realize that this is not the case. I realize, and I've known for a while, what that calling is. The one that is specific to what the LORD desires for me. The the one that was predestined for me. The one that the LORD expects me to fulfill.

I believe the Word of God. I know His Word to be true. I know that He does not call His people to things that they are ill-equipped to do. He will not allow His children to fail... only we can do that. Our misgivings. Our insecurity. Our selfishness. All of these things will allow us to fail... But, NOT MY GOD!!!

Am I walking within my anointing?? Partially

Is that good enough for my God?? Absolutely not

What will I do about it?? Everything I can to make it what it should be

How will I accomplish this?? By standing on my Rock, knowing that He is faithful

What else?? I will be obedient to the Lord... whatever He calls me to do! Whatever He calls me to say! Wherever He calls me to go!

Will this be easy?? No, it won't. But He never said it would be easy. He never said it would be comfortable. He only said I wouldn't be alone!

Now... are YOU walking within your anointing??
