God Can Use You Anywhere!

Sunday was an exciting day for me. Church was awesome! The presence of God is always incredible. Afterwards, we went to a wonderful 50th anniversary party. What a precious couple, who is an inspiration with all the love they share, and have shared over the years. When we left, we had 2 hours until church, so Dad, Mom and Me, decided to stop at the Dollar Tree.

As we were looking at some items, a lady walked up, to pick up one and starting talking. She told us about being a Type1 Diabetic and having a pump. She was telling us how hard it was and alot of people didn't understand. I could relate some, because I have Type 2 Diabetes. We shared with her how good God is and He is able to do anything. She told us someone had said she would be healed, but she hadn't seen it yet. We told her sometimes God heals and sometimes He heals through medicine. She talked about there was a new pump out that was great and not so inconvenient. We told her we would ask God to heal her and if she needed the pump, to send her a new one. She started talking about at times, when it would be so bad she thought she would just want to die.

As I am standing there, thinking in my mind, OK, this is it, how do I ask if she knows Jesus, how do I say it? Mom instinctively says, "Well if you died tonight, do you know that you would make it to heaven?" She stood there for minute and said, "I'm not sure, I think so, but I have some doubts." I told her Mom could tell her exactly how to know without a doubt. And Mom did! She repeated the sinner's prayer with Mom and when she looked up, you could see she had tears welling up in her eyes. So did I! We invited her to our Church and told her we would never forget that day and she would always be in our prayers.

Words can't describe how wonderful it is to see a person come to Christ and know they will make it to heaven. When we left, we praised God for the opportunity, asked for more of them and prayed that the prayer would go deep into her heart. I have experienced alot of things in my life, there is nothing like it. That's what we were created for, to praise Him, to fellowship with Him and to share the gospel. It is all about God! My Mom is incredible! As I stood there trying to figure out what to say, her years of evangelism and serving God, knowing His voice kicked in. WOW! I truly want to be my Mom when I grow up. I'm not kidding! Her wisdom is amazing and I know where it comes from. I want more of it!

We have to take it to the people, hospitals, family, work, even the stores, wherever God opens a door. We have to get out of ourselves to reach others. He will show us, lead us and guide us, even if it is to a Dollar Tree. He really can use us anywhere, if we let Him.
