Encouragement
Life gets so busy. The last week has been a whirlwind for me. I went back to work after being sick, had a mini vacation, thank the Lord for that. Now, I need to make up for lost time while all that was going on in my life. When you get sick, life just stops! So now it's back to the real world, which I am very thankful for, because the sick world is miserable. I love my life; I have God in my heart, a wonderful husband, great kids, a crazy family, (fun crazy) and a precious church family in my life. A job I really enjoy. I could go on and on with the blessings.
Finding quiet time is hard, but so important! Wanting to be able to do it all is about impossible. I have to put my priorities in order and then do the best I can. I am still trying to discover new ways to find the quiet time. For me, my quiet time is to be spent with the Lord. That's where I relax, and get comfort. That's where He reminds me it will be okay. That's where He renews my spirit and revives me to keep going. The last few days have been a constant on the go week for me. I miss that time. I need it.
As I wake of the mornings, I try to spend time with Jesus, before my feet hit the floor. Then in the car, try to feed my spirit with the Bible tapes I have. Sometimes at lunch, I just going to the park and take in some praise music, to get me through the day. In the evenings I try to spend time with family, study, write my stories and share the love of Jesus.
In all that, I'm still not satisfied. It's not enough, I want more of Jesus! I'm so blessed to have a husband who shares the same hunger that I do and we talk and pray together. I don't want to ever put Jesus on the backburner on those busy days when quiet time doesn't seem to exist. I just pray God will continue to show me new ways, even though I know He is with me all day long. He is just a whisper or breath away.
I have to find the quiet time, so He can fill me and use me for His glory. Oh, how my heart longs to be used by Him.
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. Psalm 42:1
