Whether it's facing the first day of school, meeting new friends, taking exams, or facing that tough algebra class, we all sometimes feel that can't accomplish certain tasks. We say to ourselves, "The other students are smarter than me" or "I'm not catching on fast enough". But as believers in Christ we have God-given confidence. That is, with Him living in us we can carry out these tasks. Phillipians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." It doesn't just say "I can do all things." This verse stresses the point that through Christ all things are possible. He gives us the power to face tough or even the smallest challenges in life. God wants us to do our best in class and with His wisdom we can make good grades. Healthy confidence is not self-centered, it's God-centered.
