Clothes on our backs
Financial blessings
Eternal life
Ability to breathe
Birds singing sweetly
Forgiveness from sins
Accepted totally
Loved unconditionally
Melodious sounds
Fresh air
Roses, violets, daisies
Green grass
Eternal membership in the body of Christ
Roof over our heads
Family gatherings
Justified, sanctified, redeemed
Sweet songs of praise
The Word of God
A glorious inheritance in heaven
These are the many expressions
Of God's grace, kindness, and love

This poem is a breath of fresh air, Thea. And a wonderful reminder to be thankful. I might re-arrange some of the lines, so that they appear more uniform - Like always ending with a two syllable line. I liked the ones that did that. David
I liked this poem. It made me think and become grateful and my mind assented to it. In order to really feel it, though, I probably would have described each item on the line more. But that's not necessary. The idea of a list poem is that it lists. And that it is quick and short. It's the everyday life of a regular person. And it's wonderful.
