James 1:4 AMP
But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

The best football players not only need to be physically tough but also mentally tough. They must be patient or have much patience. What does patience mean? This is how the dictionary defines patience: the quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like. To make it simple it means when we go through difficult times in this life we should still have a good attitude. In football the score can change at any moment. You could be winning one moment then losing the next. But it is the players that have practiced their skills and keep a good attitude even when it looks like they will loss that have a greater chance of winning the championship.

In the bible Paul said: let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,
(Hebrews 12:1 AMP)
There is that word again, patient. Paul is saying in the life we have been given, we should have a steady and active good attitude. I know this can be very hard to do because life can be very hard at times. But remember Paul also said: run [your race] that you may lay hold of the prize and make it yours. (1 Cor 9:24 AMP)

Ok. Here’s a game plan for your life right out of the bible. If you let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work in you, you will win the prize in which God has called you to win.
