You read it right, God repented, according to scripture. When you or I repent, it is because we did something wrong, and it comes to our attention. God is perfect, and besides that He sees the end from the beginning, so why would God repent?

Why would the faultless, All-Wise Creator of the universe do something that He would later repent, or be sorry about? It just doesn’t make sense, that the Omnipotent would seem to stumble, but scripture says He repented and even grieved.

There is free choice in the universe, and Lucifer had already decided to rebel against the Almighty. The change in the angels, who went from beings-of-love to creatures-of-hate must have been totally astounding.

But it had already happened, and of course, Jehovah knew of it before it took place. He also knew what would take place on earth, yet the Most High proceeded. God put Adam and Eve in the Garden and gave them only 1 restriction.

You know the story, they squandered everything for nothing. And instead of the lovely world Yahweh had envisioned, earth became a ball of evil and corruption – so much so that God repented that He had ever made humans - Gen 6:6 KJV.

God got Himself in trouble and was sorry – His children were ruining their lives with selfishness and evil. God’s heart was grieved because earth was a nightmare instead of a paradise, and His children were dying from their own choices.

Giving Your children enough rope to hang themselves if they so choose is a painful thing – watching it take place in over 90 some percent of them can break Ones heart – it did for God. Looking at it, He was sorry He created humans.

However, when Jesus comes back and unites the faithful of all ages – those in every generation who honored God and righteousness – then all heaven will triumph! God will be satisfied and goodness will reign forever.

“Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways O King of the saints!” “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ …let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Rev 15:3; 22:17 NKJV
