I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH FAITH TO BE AN ATHEIST!

We know that there is a cause for every effect - something causes each event that happens. When the boy kicks the ball, it rolls. When the girl teases the cat, it growls. The kick is first, the ball rolling is second – that is cause and effect. So what causes life to happen? Every single day life happens - seeds sprout, eggs are hatched and sperm and eggs unite to grow mammals. Thousands of times an hour evolution has to explain these “co-incidences,” how life happens with no cause. The statistical probability of evolution alone is one to the trillions, but how about the life that just comes from “no where” every minute of every hour of every day, etc. How does the scientific world explain where this perpetual miracle of life keeps coming from?

The probability of life occurring in the universe without any cause, say a powerful Creator, has been calculated. The mathematical probability of a SINGLE CELL coming about by chance is 1/10340,000,000. And then this cell must live long enough to reproduce. And then the reproduced cell must live long enough to do the same. And then more "accidents" must happen to cause more complexity. And then more "accidents" must happen to cause more complexity. And long before the first "accident" evolution is nothing but a silly, mystical fairy tale - or more accurately, science fiction!

The chance that higher life forms might have emerged from evolution is comparable
with the chance that “a tornado sweeping through a junk-yard might assemble a
Boeing 747 from the material therein.” It is like thinking the pyramids in Egypt evolved over millions of years, the rocks fitting perfectly by chance, if only given enough years! That takes a lot more faith than I have. But a powerful Creator making a world because He wants one, that sounds reasonable – and it agrees with the principles of cause and effect. “Scientists” have to try and figure out where the material for the universe came from if there was no God to make things. WHERE did the universe come from and HOW did it happen are the two big questions. Without a Creator they eliminate their cause, so then they are left with only an effect – and odds of 1 to the trillions. I can’t believe in those odds – I don’t have the faith!
