In a world where holiness is a forgotten virtue, true Christians are called to be holy. We will look at 3 areas that the Bible has told us as Christians to watch and guard carefully.
1. The eyes. You will agree with me that most of today’s young Christian population does not find anything wrong with watching movies that have a low percentage of nudity, bad language, and the lists goes on. Some Christian men even have the courage to blame it on the ladies. They say their dress code is bad. Well, before we blame it all on the ladies, here’s a quote from a certain brother in the Lord that I think will ring some questions. “As Christian men, why do we even look twice?” Be careful what you look at because as they say in Computers, “garbage in, garbage out.”(GIGO).
2. The tongue. This is an area that even the world’s strongest Christian has failed to control. If it’s one area that true Christians would be guilty for on the Day of Judgment, it’s the area of the tongue. Please Christians lets watch what we say, lets think before we talk. The Bible says in James 3:5-6, “consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.” What we say has a huge impact on our lives and on the lives of others.
3. The Heart. The whole of the Christian life is about examining the heart. The heart is a very deceitful thing and the Bible encourages us to guard the heart above all things. You have to test and see that you have a pure heart. Matthew 5:8 says “Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Is your heart pure before a Holy God? If not I invite you to make your heart pure. Surrender your heart to Christ. He will make it pure. Accept him as Lord of your life now. Don’t hesitate.

In conclusion I would like to say, without holiness no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
Be Holy just as God is Holy.
