Many kinds of love
A child’s love for parents
A love deep within the soul

The love of a woman for a man
The love of nature and its glory
They love of pets for owners

The love of a parent for their child
The love only a grandparent can give
Look at the flowers in spring

As they blossom proclaiming to the world
Love is being born
Every moment of every day




Love is such a common word these days and may have lost some of its passion. People say I love ice cream. Or love can be portrayed only as an intimate relationship. Love seems to be so much more than this. It comes from a very deep place within us. It comes from the wisdom of nature and being one with that wisdom.

Think of our little acts of love each day. Possibly for our children, spouse, friends, and co-workers etc.Then think of the small things people do for us. Perhaps a smile, some little task, a kind word. It could be a number of things. Many of these actions happen every day without our noticing and being mindful.

With nature, think of how some animals care for their young. Or the love the cool breeze gives us on a hot day. The shade the tree can give us. It is as if nature cares of us at times. The cool water to swim in the summer and the campfire which gives us heat. The beautiful ocean invites us to relax and meditate on its message.

Think of the people we see each day. Just for a minute reflect upon how much we love them. Let them know. I have heard people say “Oh, I don’t have to tell them. They know I love them.” Do they? Think of our pets and how much love they give us.Perhapes we can learn something from them.

Think of taking care of one’s own self. Loving our self. How do we treat our body? Do we put healthy food into it out of respect? Do we take time to relax and commune with our heart and soul? We might be surprised how much peace we find. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t do these things now. It might be something to give some thought to.

Love is all around. I have mentioned nature, people, pets, and our self. I am sure we could name many other ways to be mindful of love. Perhaps for today we might try one of these suggestions or come up with our own.
