Mighty God, You run this universe

Excellent in power, abundant in justice

Awesome in majesty, bright in golden splendour

Who can stare straight at the sun?

Who can fathom such a terrible beauty?



You arrange the clouds, the thunder echoes Your voice

You cause the lightning of the storm clouds to shine

You command the morning when the day begins

And cause the dawn to know its place

What miracle-wonders of a perfect Mind!



You never take Your eyes off the righteous

You set on our table full of richness

You bring us out of distress

Into a broad place without restraint



And so whatever comes my way

I choose to praise You

For I know You have gone before me

And Your Spirit sustains me

For I know that You can do all things

And Your purposes prevail
