Two For One
We Cannot Lose

Lately I have experienced two for one. I went to the hospital and the Doctor could not give me my medicine that I had been taking for pain, but gave me a step down and told me to take two for the one. While I was getting the prescription filled I walked around in the store looking for some candy. The candy I wanted was buy one get one free; two for one. I went to McDonald’s and when I brought a value meal we got another hamburger free; two for one. I said God every body is giving something but what do I have to give? God spoke to me two for one. He gave us His Son and His Spirit to sustain us in this world. When we accept the Son the Spirit is willing to come also. For all of the benefits we should be glad to be included in the Kingdom of Heaven. Two for One; Jesus and the Spirit for God.

When we give up our life for Christ, we gain a peaceful and joyful life here on earth while we live; Heaven on earth. When we die we gain eternal life and peace in Heaven. We cannot lose when we stay with God. There is so much to be gained than lost. Romans 14:17-23; for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serve Christ is acceptable to God and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who hates with offense. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak. Has thou faith? Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows. And he that doubles is damned if he eat because he eats not of faith; for whatsoever is not faith is sin. We have so much to gain with Christ than being so willing to live as a sinner in the world. The things we put stock in is damnable without God being first in our lives. We must realize that our life is not about us, but God.

Romans 13:14, But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. We give up the world to live for God in this world. Everlasting life is a promise to all that will give up their one life to live a life for God. We cannot lose. Coming to Christ means we receive all the benefits of Heaven while we live, not after we die. We will experience many mighty signs and wonders by the power of the Spirit of God. We become ministers of Jesus Christ professing what is that good and acceptable will of God. We are filled with His knowledge, full of goodness, filled with all joy, abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost, sanctified by the Holy Ghost, and we have one mind and one mouth with others to glorify God, even the Father of Christ Jesus. We have so much that comes with accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. Two for one; Jesus and the Spirit for God. We cannot lose. No man that have suffered for the Gospel sake have ever been forgotten.

Look at Jesus, He is still here. Paul, Stephen, John, Mark, Luke, Matthew, Peter, James, and all the other Apostles, Disciples, and Ministers is still being used and will be eternally. What can be said of you after you would have departed this earth? Are you willing to lay your life down for your friends? John 15:13, greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jesus called us friends, for a friend knows what his friend does. According to Peter in I Peter 2:21, Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. I John 3:16, we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. We don’t want to be afflicted, nor do we want to go through nothing. We don’t want to be hated. We don’t want to go through tribulations. We must give up our lives for a glorious life of Christ here in the earth. We are to be willing to suffer for what we believe. How do we do this? Firstly learn how to cast your cares on the Lord, for it is He that cares for us. Do our works unto Him and don’t fear what man can do to us. Be faithful to the Lord in all that you do. Put Him first and you second. David promised us that God will never suffer the righteous to be moved. No matter what we go through God will heal our broken state and our wounds. When we have been tried by the fire we will come forth as pure gold. We are not to despise the chastening we go through, but rejoice in it. We will be atoned through the blood that has been shed for the remission of sin. Jesus took away the sin of the world so we don’t have to live therein no longer. Acts 20:28, take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Because blood was shed for us we are blood covered.

He covered us with strength, commended his love toward us, He justified us by his blood that we would be saved from wrath through him. We have reconciliation with the Father by the death of Jesus Christ. We have been saved by his life and given the joy in God through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Grace and peace were given to us by Jesus Christ who gave himself for our sins that we may be delivered from this present world according to the will of God the Father. Jesus redeemed us from the law that we may receive the adoption of sons. We are called sons of God because of the one Son that was given of the Father. We have redemption through his blood and the forgiveness of sin according to the riches of his grace. Ephesians 5:2; walk in love, as Christ also have loved us, and hath given himself for an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. There is no more wrath, but salvation that we are to testify of while we live. Jesus gave himself as a ransom for all and redeemed us from our iniquity that we would be a peculiar people unto him.

Hebrews 1:3; who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Jesus brings us to heaven and he brought heaven unto us. He tasted death for every man that we should not taste death. We have been through the offering Jesus made for us; sanctified. We are in possession of many things because of the work and sacrifice Jesus made. What else do he need to do? Cleansed and sanctified baring our sins in his body on the tree that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed. We are called the holiness of God. It is the gift of God through the mediation of Christ. Everything dedicated to God partakes in a certain manner of His holiness. Holiness signifies that every thought of man, every emotion, every act, every deed, yea all that combines to make up one’s life, is determined by the will of God and thus the old man who has been burdened by worldly lust and shackled with the chains of the flesh is cast off and the new man is fully put on. This is both the work of God and of man. This divine grace comes of God through Christ and man must seize this proffered hand of God using the sanctifying means of grace with the assistance of God for perfecting his state of purity. We must not take advantage of our salvation, but use it for the glory and honor of God. Holiness, perfection and sanctification was given to us for our religious experience by one man Jesus. Two for one, what more can He do? Stay consecrated, set apart for the sacred purpose and cause of God; which we are called to.
Two for one, the Son and the Holy Spirit for the whole of one God in the Christian life.
