Given More Through Pain

It’s not what we get but what we give in life that brings the most joy in our lives. How we respond to difficulties, rejection and chastisement determines what we are willing to give for the use of God.

In my life the more pain I go through, the more I want someone else not to have to go through it. Pain brings about a sense of humility. I have been physically abused, mentally abused, psychologically abused and sociologically abused. How much is one suppose to be abused in life? Sometime we think we are not suppose to go through anything but what we go through should be used to help someone else not have to go through the same things and suffer the same pain.

St. John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Everlasting life what is that? Do we ever wonder when we do things about everlasting life? Do we really understand what we are here for? God gave us all that He had; His Son for our redemption, what greater love can we find and hold on to for eternity? What are we willing to give in exchange for our soul? No greater love than this that a man would lay down his life for a friend. Jesus considered us friends and He taught us, showed us and commissioned us to do likewise to all of mankind. It’s evening time and our sacrifices should be made now before the next evening time. Twilight is upon us, we are living in a time of imperfect clarity or a period of decline in our lives that we are willing to give everything for what we say we love. We live in a world that is full of fantasy and unrealistic creatures. For if we really made the sacrifices God requires it would never be about us and what we feel. God gave His Son for the whole of mankind, what are we willing to give for the whole of mankind?

Firstly God gave his best gift; his own Son for a sacrificial present. Through this present came grace and mercy as the result of the pain Jesus suffered for us. He died a horrific death that we would in like fashion offer ourselves through devotion to provide someone else knowledge of His saving grace. Because of what Jesus did we can spring into action and cause someone else to believe and consider God. We have been provided resources to do the work of the Lord. These resources is for the work of the ministry to draw others to Christ. God supplies all of our need to support His Word and Work. We offer to others a possibility of relief and recovery when we offer this same salvation we have received of. How others see us in our handling of situations determines the ability they will have when they go through pain as Jesus did for the edification of the Ministry. We must be that same mediator that Jesus was. Jesus was a peacemaker, and arbiter; he is the one mediator between God and man. He came to bring into fruition and fulfill the promise of the Comforter. He suffered much pain as a result of that mission here on earth. Why would we as his followers suffer that same thing?

In the giving of gift of Jesus, God fulfilled the promise made to Joel. Joel 2:28-29; and it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions, and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my Spirit. In the fulfillment of this promise the people of God will go through persecution. They will be pursued that injury and afflictions, harassment and suffering will be imputed to them for righteousness sake and their belief in God. We already suffer among ourselves but it is coming and the time is now upon us that we will be persecuted, but the problem is are we willing to suffer the persecution. Are we willing to persevere in the undertaking in spite of the difficulties? In Matthew10:19-20, Jesus speaking to his Apostles, warned them saying but when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak; for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you. This is why we must learn what the Word says that we do not speak of ourselves at any time. The Holy Spirit repeats over and over again what the Word says. We are not our own, so we should not act in our own self. No matter how much pain it is for us to speak some things we must not fear when it comes to God’s Word. God will reveal himself and uncover all things that is hid in the life of a man. We are servants of the Lord Jesus Christ and as He gave much through pain, so must we.

Jesus, because He suffered the Cross has been glorified. He receives yet today the splendor, honor, praise, fame, the divine presence, or its manifestation. Jesus is the perfect gift of God from man. He gives us rest through our pain; Matthew 11:28, come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. We are not to labor for the meat which perish, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which Jesus the Son of man gave us through His suffering. Because of His pain we can ask of the Father what we will and He will give it to us. He fulfills our joy when we walk away from sin. Romans 6:23; for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is however dependent upon how we act and is willing to sacrifice of our own selves the love of the world. Romans 11:29, For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. We can go and do a work for Christ without repentance but there will be no power associated with our work. We cannot produce in others what has not been produced in us already. Every man has his proper gift of God, one after this manner and another after that. there are diversities of gifts, but they are of the same Spirit. There are differences of administration but the same Lord. I may say grace and you too, but no matter the words we speak it is still grace. Because I may say Jesus Christ, and you say just Jesus they are one in the same. Jesus is the distinctive personal name of our Lord, Christ is the anointed one, the Messiah a designation accepted by Jesus of Nazareth as fulfilling prophecy, and given Him generally throughout Christendom. The finished work of Jesus Christ works all in all among us today through the diversities of operations and the manifestation of the Spirit that is given to every man that God will profit withal. These gifts all work by the Spirit and is divided to man as God will is for their lives. They all also work by the love that preceded them.

Ephesians 4:7; but unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. He went through some pain that we may have what we needed to finish our course. These gifts has been given to us that we may minister the same one to another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. We are to use them according to God’s divine power given unto us. They are to be used in all things that pertains to life and godliness. We are to take heed not to use them to appease man or to be seen of men. Also we must be careful not to be labeled hypocrites. We are not to blow our own whistle that man would see us. Our reward is not in the glory of men but when we glorify the Father that sent us. We are to have a willing mind, accepting what we have been called to, and not showing partiality in the fact of one that has or has not. When God created man, he had nothing although he had everything. Jesus gave more through pain than any man in the earth. He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. What Jesus suffered was for us and not himself. So unselfishly he went to the cross to bring redemption back to a dying world. He had the whole world in his hands. What would have happened hand not He died? His flesh had pain but the soul within Him mourned for mankind. Revelations 21:4, And God shall wipe away tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.

Because of disobedience pain was birth forth in the earth. When women multiplied in the earth we was promised sorrow and pain; but after the pain is joy that a child has been born in the earth. After a woman’s virginity is lost, the pain she suffered in the flesh is forgotten. We suffer pain when we have to chastise a child more than the pain from the beating. Job said it best in Job 5:6-7; although affliction comes not forth of the dust, neither do trouble spring out of the ground. Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. Job 5:17-18; behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. For he makes sore and binds up, he wounded and his hands made whole. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We are to call on God in the day of trouble and He will deliver us and we shall glorify Him. Jesus made the way and laid out the foundation for us that we can also give much through our own pain. Through our own pain we can help to heal the broken hearted. Do not despise the chastening of the Lord, neither be weary of His correction. Whom the Lord loves he chastens because He delights in us.

There are benefits to your pain. We give more through our pain and have the same hope Christ did. Because He lives we also live. Proverb 13:12, hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when the desire comes it is a tree of life. We the people of God should produce hope in the life of the unbeliever. We are approved as the ministers of Christ through our patience, in afflictions, in necessities, distresses, stripes, imprisonments, tumults, labors, in watching, in fasting, by pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left; by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true, as unknown and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and not killed, as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, as poor, yet making many rich; as having not and yet possessing all things. Christians we endure the things of man everyday in everyday living, why can’t we endure chastening of the Lord. We yet give reverence to man when he chastise us but when God chastises us we are bitter. Let’s get in subjection to God and live. I Peter 5:9, whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brothers that are in the world. As many as the Lord loves he rebukes and chastens so be zealous today and repent. We give more through our pain than we realize. There are however benefits to our giving for when we are tried we shall come forth as pure gold. In the process we are taking someone else along with us. Man, Woman remember we are to cause others to recognize their offences, seek the face of God in the face of their afflictions early that they be not overtaken in the fault. God knows what we have been through and He wants us to know that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brothers that are in the world. God knows our works and tribulation, and poverty. He knows the blasphemy of them which say they are his and are not. We are to fear not the things that we shall suffer but be faithful and we shall receive a crown of life.
