There are so many, that seek the high seat
their names, wrote out in gold
But, Lord help me to stay humble
and love, let my heart hold

I won't ask for a flowing robe
nor even ask, for a crown
But, help me O' Lord to just stay meek
and feet, level on the ground

Help me hold no charge against anyone
hovel and carry no spite within
But, let your righteousness, to engulf me
so it can help me pardon their sin

Don't want to wear the cloak of anger
for I was too, but, filthy rages
And it was only by grace you saved me
now don't need to wear any tags

I want to always remember to run to you
and my heart I lay at your feet
So you can wash me from the inside
once I kneel at the mercy seat

Whenever grace abides it sees no faults
for love sheds and covers us all
Now, because of this, we just can't miss
but, thank God, all of it did fall

The word tells me to come humble as a child
if to heaven I want to go
For all the rewards, are in God's hands
these things my heart does know

So I say let them take the high row seat
I'll take the low and be that runt
And it doesn't mean we're less in his sight
for God judges the heart, not the front
