Life can show us, some bits of humor
if we can reflect on why we're here
Some can even give you a push
to take that step with a dare

Thoughts came to mind about a bad tooth
how that joker can be a pain
It can hurt so much like they all are hurting
leaving the whole body limp and drain

This too can happen in life's mortar holes
bringing the nerves awake and aware
About the rough paths that it presents at times
and they do come from everywhere

But, if that thing keeps bothering you
then put it out of it's misery
Get a good grip, and just speak to it
and make it, become history

That on nagging pain can become a nuisance
popping up from time to time
Moving in throughout, waking up each nerve
which is not healty to one's mind

This kind of hold will keep you crying
not a rest it brings to us
It will keep on pressing into the same place
causing one to lose their trust

It will settle in like it's bedded in the root
not willing to let you go
Squeezing and squeezing, bringing swelling too
and the aches will grow and grow

Lets put that tooth out of it's torment
yank away that caused the pain
Find a way to abstract it, other words resolve it
then claim self-esteem so you can gain

Of all the things that life can bring
find some sense of humor in your plight
Not saying troubles, will not still come
but, it's worth it if you stay and fight
