Of shadows they come at lowly times
Darkness in form of criminal crimes
Against the innocent, how they dare!
Have they no heart, do they not care?

Do not they fear the wrath of our Lord?
For He comes with an almighty sword
Thunders from His mouth; so many words
Across dark skies descending blackbirds

Above their heads to swoop down low
See God’s thunderous power on show
For little ones harm you brought them
Let God’s wrath bring earthly mayhem

Down upon those who abused His trust
Little ones you harmed; pay you must
For the darkness brought upon them now
See God’s power; now on earth such a row

Of the Light He bought; He paid for each one
With the blood of the Lamb; His only Son
To rescue from darkness what only God could
With His only Son, the Lamb, nailed onto wood

Of shadows they come at lowly times
Darkness in form of criminal crimes
Against the innocent, how they dare!
Now they are God’s, so precious and rare
