I sat around just waiting today
For a friend, supposed to come my way
We spoke on the phone, she said she’d come
However; still I was alone all day some

To God I turned and asked one thing;
Why does it hurt with a bitterly sting
All was still and I heard Him say;
Don’t worry, just move on your way

Now needing to know just what was wrong
I heard in the stillness but a lonely song
High in a tree nature’s chorus was playing
Turning so slowly; I heard a voice saying;

Of Satan’s tune has played in her ear
She turns to run as a rabbit in fear
In Oneness she cannot hear Him call
All I can do; is wait; for after the fall
