What sort of fruits, are bearing on your tree?
is it bringing forth, the right kind
Are they being sweeten by, the Holy One
Lord Jesus, the only true vine

Are they now dried up and bittered with hate
soured with anger, inside and out
Has the tree stop growing, in love and patience
but, withering like it's under a drought

Now we are to live peacefully, with all men
which is what, the bible does say
Not having respect of persons, in whom to love
this is not the Holy way

God gave the remedy, in how the tree can flourish
in his word it's plain as day
So that it will spread out, near and far
so grace and mercy, be on display

Now once in a while, chastisements will come
it's God's way of showing his love
No it's not going to be, pleasant to our flesh
but, it will help us make heaven above

God told us what the tree must grow
and it's listed one by one
But, if we fail to apply what he has offered
the tree will dry up, be over and done

We can have ripe fruits, in our hearts basket
now throw all the bad one's out
For no spots or blemish's, not even one wrinkle
can you have on heaven's route

Let the word of God shower down upon us
so we can be washed, day by day
And when the stormy winds, come beat against us
we won't break, but, grow strong and stay

So oh precious tree, allow God to prune you
let him be the keeper, of each branch
So the fruits of righteousness can forever grow
and it's beauty, he will enchance
