Why is evil so cruel and hateful?
So full of vengeance? And never satisfied?
Why is evil so mean and nasty?
Spiteful and wicked? And never satisfied?
Why is evil so bent on destruction?
Ruining everything? Ignoring the consequences and never satisfied?
Why is evil so vindictive and awful?
Heaping pain on others? And never satisfied?
Why is evil so ready to gloat over its fruit?
Happy at others misery? And never satisfied?
Why is evil so driven to hurt?
Energized by suffering? And never satisfied?
Why is evil so ready to inflict pain?
And hatred on others? And never satisfied?
Why is evil so angry at goodness?
Ready to destroy anything pure? And never satisfied?
From Eden to Calvary it has always been the same.
Wherever possible evil destroys goodness.
Yet it is never satisfied.
